It is charged that Nepali Congress central member Purna Bahadur Khadka is involved in murdering CPN-UML candidate Rishi Prasad Sharma. But Purna is not domb. He refuses his personal security guard which he had been using as former Home Minister.
Speaking at a press conference Friday morning Khadka expressed dissatisfaction stating that the major political parties were ignorant about the weak security situation and the lingering terror in Surkhet.
He demanded with the government to form an independent commission to probe into the murder of Rishi Prasad Sharma who was shot dead on April 8. He also demanded compensation to Sharma’s family and arrangement of treatment to the injured in the incident.
Khadka demanded the release of his supporters who were made disappeared and asked the government that there should be assurance of security in electoral constituency-1 of Surkhet.
“If the demands were not fulfilled, NC candidates under the-first-past-the-post and proportional representation system of the constituency will be compelled to take a serious decision.”
Khadka expressed objection to his being implicated in Sharma’s murder and claimed the charge was labelled against him without verifying the facts. He said that the guilty should be subjected to serious action.
